Indonesian Paradise: Stunning 1BR Pool View Villa (V402)!
Alright, buckle up, buttercups! This is gonna be more review than a meticulously crafted brochure. We’re talking about – and I’m about to spill the tea, the coffee, and maybe a little bit of, ahem, something else. Let's dive in, deep dive.
First Impressions: The Good, The Meh, and the "Wait, What?"
Okay, so the website promised… well, everything. And, to be honest, the reality was a mixed bag, like a box of chocolates. You never know what you’re gonna get! The arrival? Smooth as silk! I’d booked with contactless check-in/out – brilliant, especially after the flight (which, let's be honest, felt like a cattle car). The doorman? Spot on – a genuine smile and a hand with the luggage. Elevator was a godsend. Accessibility? They’ve got elevators and hopefully, some good ramps.
Rooms: My Little Hideaway (Or Not!)
My room was… (clears throat)… mostly okay. The Air Conditioning was a lifesaver – essential! And the Blackout Curtains? Thank the heavens! Because my sleep schedule is, shall we say, flexible. The Free Wi-Fi in the room, bless its digital soul, worked most of the time. Now, the minor niggles are what make a stay memorable, are they not?
- The Internet access – LAN? Nope. It was like trying to find a unicorn.
- Extra long bed was nice, as I am tall and have a habit of spreading like a starfish.
- Bathroom phone: a phone in the bathroom? WHAT!
- On-demand movies: Okay, but the selection was old. Why can't I watch the latest "Barbie" in peace?
Cleanliness & Safety: Feeling Safe, or Just Being Paranoid?
Look, in these times, cleanliness is KING. And seemed to take it seriously. They shouted about Anti-viral cleaning products, Rooms sanitized between stays, and Daily disinfection in common areas. I even got the "opt-out" for room sanitization! Nice touch. They had Hand sanitizer EVERYWHERE. And the Professionally-grade sanitizing services? They sure made me feel comfy. But… let's be realistic. How spotlessly clean can a hotel be, really? I'm not saying it wasn't clean, but I think I'll bring my own Lysol next time.
Dining, Drinking, and Snacking: Food, Glorious Food (or Maybe Just Adequate)
The restaurant situation? A minefield. The Asian breakfast was, frankly, a disaster. Bland, lukewarm, and vaguely depressing. I'd have preferred the Western breakfast, but I was feeling adventurous. The Buffet in restaurant was a bit of a scrum. They had an A la carte in restaurant, and a Coffee shop and Snack bar. The Poolside bar was nice, but getting a drink sometimes took an eternity. I didn't bother with the Room service [24-hour]. I had a couple of drinks at the bar, and I will say the barman was on the ball.
Things to Do & Ways to Relax: Spa Days and Fitness Shenanigans
They touted a Spa, a Sauna, a Steamroom, and a Swimming pool [outdoor] with a Pool with a view. I'm a sucker for a spa. The Massage was decent, but nothing to write home about. The gym? Fitness center and Gym/fitness: standard hotel issue, smelled kinda of stale sweat. But hey, at least they had one. I wasn't sure what to do with the Foot bath!
Services & Conveniences: The Little Things That (Sometimes) Make a Difference
Daily housekeeping was a blessing, really. The Concierge was helpful (when you could find them). Food delivery was an option. There was a Convenience store (pricey, naturally). The Laundry service was surprisingly quick. They had Cash withdrawal, Currency exchange, and a Safety deposit boxes. They also had a Bar, which was a plus.
For the Kids: Family Fun (Or Not?)
My partner and I don't have kids. So I only skimmed this, but they do have Babysitting service, and is Family/child friendly. They have Kids facilities, and a Kids meal.
Accessibility: A Mixed Bag
This is where things get a little… patchy. They state to have Facilities for disabled guests, but I couldn't find specific details on what that actually meant. Elevator are good, access to On-site accessible restaurants / lounges is a must.
My Honest Verdict & a Compelling Offer (Because That's What This Is All About!)
Okay, so is not perfect. It's not a five-star experience by any stretch. But it's okay. It's got its good points, and it's got its… less good points. It's a solid, middle-of-the-road option.

Indonesian Paradise: 2BR Luxury Pool Villa w/ Breakfast! #X2Alright, buckle up buttercups, because we're diving headfirst into my – and by "my" I mean our – trip to Jineng 1 BR with Pool View #V402 in Indonesia. This isn't some perfectly curated Instagram feed… this is real life, with all the sunburnt shoulders and existential crises that come with it. Here's the glorious, disorganized, and hopefully hilarious itinerary:
Pre-Trip Ramblings (aka Pre-Departure Anxiety Buffet):
- Weeks Before: Oh God, I'm going to Indonesia! I think I booked flights. I hope I packed… sunscreen? Seriously, did I pack sunscreen? I’m already sweating, and I haven’t even left my couch. This is the phase where I spend 80% of my time Googling "what to pack for Indonesia" and 20% of my time frantically trying to learn a few phrases in Bahasa Indonesia. "Terima kasih" is about as far as I get. And the passport? Where is that thing? Oh, the passport drama… always a classic.
- Days Before: Panic attacks intensify. Suddenly convinced I have forgotten something vital, like, you know, my legs. Commence the frantic last-minute shopping spree… mainly for snacks. Let's be honest. Emergency chocolate is a travel essential. Packing, unpacking, repacking… it’s a sacred ritual of travel.
- The Day Of: Airport chaos. Lines, delays, overpriced coffee that tastes like despair… the usual. Try to remain calm and avoid eye contact with anyone who looks like they might steal your passport (or your chocolate). Deep breaths. We’re almost there! Finally get on the plane…
The Island of Dreams (and Mosquitoes): Day 1-3
- Arrival & Initial Impulsiveness: Finally Arrived in Bali, after way too many hours in the sky like the bird I'm not. Stepping out of the airport is like walking into a jungle. Humidity, heat, a million smells… it’s intoxicating, and I'm instantly smitten. The driver is a little late, but who cares! I'm in Bali! We get to the hotel - Jineng. It's beautiful, perfect in the brochure. The Pool view…oh my god, it is as good as it looks. And the room… it's big enough to get lost in. I immediately drop all my stuff and plunge in the pool. Heaven.
- Impression: Initial impressions are positive. The vibe, in the beginning, is the excitement of a child on Christmas morning. This will wear off, trust me.
- Food Adventures & Misadventures: First meal: street food! I'm a sucker for a good nasi goreng. Ordered it from a little warung (local eatery). Delicious! But then… a tiny, unwelcome guest. A mosquito who was clearly on a mission. Revenge will be mine! (I swear, I’m battling them the entire trip. They are relentless). Following is a long list of delicious foods that I did eat with very little information on the specific dishes: I’m a simple girl.
- The Food Obsession: This trip is going to be about eating. I’m talking street food, fancy restaurants, all of it. The only regret will be the extra pounds.
- The Beach Debacle: Spent an afternoon on the beach. Sun, sand, waves… pure bliss, or so I thought. Someone told me to cover myself in Coconut oil, I got a sunburn! It was so painful. I now have a lobster tan. My fault.
- Getting Lost (and Loving It): Wandered around the local markets, got completely lost, and loved every second of it. Found a hidden temple, stumbled upon a local ceremony… being lost is the best way to find the real Bali.
- The “Lost” Discovery: Turning a corner and walking into something beautiful is what I live for.
Deeper Dive into Daily Life (and My Sanity): Day 4-6
- The Morning Ritual: Waking up, taking morning sun, maybe doing a little yoga (or attempting it). The morning, the pool, the perfect balance.
- The Spa Experience (and the awkwardness): Ah, this is what it's all about, right? A Balinese massage is on the menu. It was amazing, a complete escape, or so I thought. The masseuse was very thorough. Let's just say it involved more bending and stretching than I was prepared for. I tried to remain dignified, but I'm pretty sure I grunted a few times.
- Awkwardness: Let's be honest, sometimes spa experiences are just plain uncomfortable.
- Temples & Temples & More Temples: Visited some gorgeous temples, had the whole spiritual experience, at least I think that's what I did. There's so much beauty to take in.
A Little Turbulence (and More Food): Day 7-9
- The "Oh Crap" Moment: Realized I had forgotten to exchange enough money. Panic! The ATM lines are long, and the fees are brutal. Learn from my mistakes.
- The Cooking Class (and the near-disaster): Took a Balinese cooking class! It was supposed to be all smiles and delicious food. I managed to set my coconut on fire! It was a very small fire, but it was my fire. Thankfully, the amazing instructors quickly put it out, but it's clear, the kitchen is not necessarily my place in this world. (On the bright side, the food was incredible).
- The Sunset Viewing: Went to Uluwatu temple to watch the sunset. Spectacular! The monkeys, however, were a bit grabby. Almost lost my sunglasses. Seriously, those monkeys are little thieves.
- The Drinking Scene: I'd like to say I was going to keep the drinking to a minimum, but this is Bali! I met some people in a bar, the "drinks" were going to be a "few". That plan got thrown out of the window. Woke up the next morning, with a pounding headache, and no memory of the entire night.
- The Bali Belly Scare: Thankfully, it wasn’t the fabled Bali Belly. But I did spend a good couple of hours wondering if I was going to die.
- The Day Tripping: The volcano, rice terraces, I'm here to relax.
The Home Stretch (and the Emotional Breakdown): Day 10-12
- The Pool Days: More relaxing pool days. Taking it easy, because my body needs it.
- A Little Reflection: Sitting by the pool, reflecting on the trip. It's been an incredible experience! (And I think I actually miss those damn mosquitoes).
- Packing (Again): Time to pack, again.
- Departure: The flight home. That bittersweet feeling of missing the place already.
Final Thoughts (aka Post-Trip Whining):
Indonesia was everything I hoped for, and so much more. The food, the people, the beaches… all amazing. The mosquitoes, the humidity, the sunburn… not so much. But hey, that's life, right? My perfect plan went slightly off the rail. But it was worth it.
My score:10/10, definitely coming back.
